Miriam Davidson and Rani Sanderson’s ongoing Digital Storytelling in the Community project derives from a wish to bring forward a socially engaged community arts practice rooted in personal narrative and photography, using contemporary digital technology.

Their two-person show comprises a series of digital stories presented on flat screens along with still photographs gleaned from a broad range of community based projects. Each tableau shows how stories can construct bridges that allow for empathy and understanding whilst shaping individual and collective memories.

In conjunction with the exhibition Ice Cream Truck Stories: Digital Storytelling in the Community, Miriam Davidson and Rani Sanderson will be working on-site at the AGP, January 19 & 20, 2013 , along with representatives of local community and agricultural groups to develop a series of digital stories to augment the exhibition. Anyone interested in this project is invited to contact the AGP.

This exhibition is presented in conjunction with Peterborough’s ReFrame Film Festival.
