In the spring, exhibitions will continue at our temporary home of 420 George Street North with work by Roula Partheniou.

Roula Partheniou received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Guelph in 2001 and currently lives and works in Toronto. Her practice explores the replica and how the remaking of a familiar object can shift our perception and perspective. Her projects tend to take the form of sculptural installations that make use of hyper-real trompe l’oeil, material puns and colour cues to deconstruct the familiar and trigger a reconsideration of common forms.

She has exhibited throughout North America and internationally, with recent exhibitions at Museum of Bat Yam (Israel); AHVA Gallery, Vancouver (Canada); MASS MoCA in North Adams, Massachusetts (USA); Owens Art Gallery in Sackville (Canada); Open Studio, Blackwood Gallery, and MKG127 in Toronto (Canada) and has recently presented a commissioned work for the Temporary Contemporary project at Sheridan College in Oakville (Canada). Forthcoming projects include a solo exhibition at the Dunlop in Regina and her work can currently be seen at Oakville Galleries, Gairloch Gardens. Her work is held in numerous private collections, in the National Gallery of Canada Library and Archives and in the corporate and institutional collections of Munich Re, Bank of Montreal, TD Bank, Royal Bank of Canada and The University of Toronto. She is represented by MKG127, Toronto Canada.

Regular Hours: Wednesday to Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. Admission is by Donation.
