About the artist:

Bethanie is a self-taught, full-time wood worker. She began her career as a hobbyist, a means to wind down after she came home from her 9-5 job in social work. Using a very old lathe and dull tools in her husband’s wood shop, Bethanie fell in love with wood working . She crafts functional pieces for the home, using locally and sustainably sourced Ontario wood and pieces of wood that would otherwise end up in a landfill or a fire pit.
