2024 Kawartha Autumn Studio Tour Application

The Kawartha Autumn Studio Tour is one of the longest continually running Studio Tours in Canada, and offers the public a chance to explore the work of the talented artists from across the Peterborough-Kawartha region. Artists working in a range of styles and media, open up their working spaces to the public and share their artistic practice, connect with potential supporters and the community, while also promoting their work. The Art Gallery of Peterborough also mounts a supporting exhibition to preview the outstanding quality, spirit, and variety of artists on the Studio Tour

Exhibition Opportunities For Artists

We accept submissions on an ongoing basis from artists and guest curators for the main and ramp galleries. Follow this link to submit your exhibition proposal via Submittable. Exhibitions are reviewed on an on-going basis and the process can take time. We recognize and appreciate the work required to prepare submissions. Studio visits may be part of the selection process.

Selected artists are supported in the development of their exhibition by the Curator and provided contracts, CARFAC fees that meet or exceed minimums, letters of support for funding applications, fine art shipping, insurance, travel, hospitality, hotel, promotional materials, and documentation. Artists are encouraged to be involved in the exhibition installation plan which is completed by a trained professional installation crew.

We present approximately 16 exhibitions per year: 4 are developed for the main gallery, 8 for the ramp galleries, and 4 from the Permanent Collection.

The AGP strives to reflect the whole of our community through our programs and operations. We continue to seek major exhibitions and projects that engage and support the work of BIPOC artists, curators and performers.

  • Title
  • Exhibition Proposal: a description of the proposed project including technical requirements and estimated completion dates for work in development
