Summer Art Camp
Join us for a summer filled with fun and creativity!
During the months of July and August we offer weekly camps that explore a wide variety of media and techniques, from painting and drawing to sculpture and stop-motion animation, and everything in between.
All of our programs emphasize creative exploration in a lively, fun, and supportive atmosphere and are led by our experienced art education team.

Art Fundies
July 8 – 12, 2024
Flex your creative muscles and learn a new artistic skill in this week-long, half day camp. Campers will build a strong foundation of artistic skills and techniques as they learn the basics of art making through drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and more in this fun, exploration-based program.

My Summer Fun 1
July 15 – 19, 2024
Portraits and landscapes and sculptures, oh my! This week-long, half day program is great for children looking to explore their creative selves. Campers will create funky portraits, nature-inspired artworks, and experiment with painting, mixed-media sculptures, and collages.

Comic Books and Fairy Tales
July 22 – 26, 2024
Marvel and Disney, take a seat. Learn the art of storytelling and bring your own characters to life as we explore bookmaking, drawing and painting techniques. Get inspired by your favourite comic books and fairy tales in this week-long, full day program.

My Summer Fun 2
July 29 – August 2, 2024
Travel through time with the Art Gallery of Peterborough! Each day offers a new adventure in time, exploring different art and crafting techniques from stone-age to the present. Campers will learn skills in weaving, pinch pot pottery, and co-operative art making in this week-long, half day program.

Introduction to Printmaking
August 12 – 16, 2024
Ready, set, print! Make your mark in this week-long, half day program. Learn and experiment with different printmaking techniques including stamping, stenciling, and block printing to create a portfolio of printed works.

All the world’s a stage, and every day is a new art adventure in this week-long, half day camp. Create fierce and fun animal masks and portraits as well as showstopping prints and puppets!

Stop-Motion Animation
August 26 – 30, 2024
Lights, camera, action! Campers will explore the art of storytelling, character development, and stop-motion animation techniques to create their own characters and short films. Build your character, story, and setting all week long and celebrate the grand finale with a short movie premier.
