bags and bulky items
Our galleries are connected by a series of ramps. As such, we encourage any large bags, backpacks, or luggage to be left outside of the exhibition and shop spaces. We have a designated, monitored area that includes shelving, a coat rack and hooks to store your belongings. Visitor Services staff will be happy to assist with any questions.
When wearing a small backpack, purse, or bag please use care when moving through the building. We encourage you to carry small backpacks or purses on your front to avoid damage to artwork and other visitors.
Strollers and children’s carriers are permitted in all areas of the gallery. Please store diaper bags underneath the stroller or on handles. Children’s wagons or buggies that are pulled behind the visitor are not permitted in gallery spaces.
food & drink
Food and drink is permitted only in the lobby and gallery shop. No food or drink is allowed in the exhibition spaces.
The Art Gallery of Peterborough does not have a restaurant or café on its premises, but there are many wonderful local food and dining options nearby.
