“I share my short time with trees, hills, grasses, sky, and all the living things; with all that is around me and without which I would not exist.
I sit and paint realizing my life is also just a moment squeezed between the light years passed and the light years ahead I will never see. We are immersed in a web of all things within a moment of time, a glimpse.” – Laurie De Camillis, 2025
Laurie De Camillis | Four Seasons, is on view at the Art Gallery of Peterborough until June 22.

About the Exhibition:
Through found objects, assemblage, and layered narratives, Dr. Spencer J. Harrison and curator Lucas Azevedo Cabral create a fictional museum that imagines queer history as abundant and visible. By presenting queer narratives as vibrant, messy, and beautifully incomplete, The Museum of Closetry invites viewers to reflect on what it means to belong, to remember, and to make space for the stories that history has tried to hide.
