Summer Art Camp
Join us for a summer filled with fun and creativity!
During the months of July and August we offer weekly camps that explore a wide variety of media and techniques, from painting and drawing to sculpture and stop-motion animation, and everything in between.
All of our programs emphasize creative exploration in a lively, fun, and supportive atmosphere and are led by our experienced art education team.

Art Fundies
July 6 – 10, 2026
Half Day, Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Suitable for Ages 7 to 11
Flex your creative muscles and learn a new artistic skill in this week-long, half day camp. Campers will build a strong foundation in visual art through hands-on exploration of drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and more.
Campers will learn core art concepts with a focus on trying new techniques and materials, building creative confidence, and a strong artistic foundation through active studio-style exploration.
Fee: $175 | $157.50 AGP Members: Tier 3 and up

My Summer Fun:
Space Exploration
July 13 – 17, 2026
Half Day, Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Suitable for Ages 4 to 6
Spaceships and comets and galaxies, oh my! In this week-long, half-day adventure camp, participants will blast off into creative play as they explore space-inspired art projects.
Campers will design quirky alien self-portraits, create colourful extraterrestrial landscapes, and try simple printmaking and mixed-media projects inspired by outer-space.
Fee: $175 | $157.50 AGP Members: Tier 3 and up

The Art of Storytelling
July 20 – 24, 2026
Half Day, Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Suitable for Ages 7 to 11
Art and storytelling collide in this imaginative week-long, half-day camp. Campers will get inspired by their favourite books and fictional characters, learning the art of storytelling to bring their own characters to life.
Through bookmaking, drawing, sculpture and painting techniques they will create their very own storybooks, comics, and zines.
Fee: $175 | $157.50 AGP Members: Tier 3 and up

My Summer Fun:
Art Through Time
July 27 – 31, 2026
Half Day, Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Suitable for Ages 4 to 6
Join us for a week of hands-on art adventures! Each day, campers will “travel through time” using their imagination to explore simple activities inspired by different moments in history, from early art-making to today.
Through guided projects like basic weaving, clay pinch pots, and collaborative artwork, campers will build fine-motor skills, confidence, and a love of making art. This half-day, week-long camp balances creative exploration with plenty of encouragement and play.
Fee: $175 | $157.50 AGP Members: Tier 3 and up

Make Your Mark
August 4 – 7, 2026
Half Day, Tuesday to Friday, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Suitable for Ages 7 to 11
Ready, set, print! In this week-long, half-day camp, children will learn and experiment with a variety of drawing and printmaking techniques while developing their own creative ideas.
Campers will create zines, stamps, and a portfolio of printed works while building technical skills, confidence, and an understanding of printmaking processes through guided instruction and creative exploration.
Shortened week due to Civic Holiday

Animal Kingdom
August 10 – 14, 2026
Half Day, Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Suitable for Ages 4 to 6
Let imaginations roar! In this week-long, half-day camp, children will explore the animal kingdom through creative play and art-making.
Inspired by animals big and small, campers will create colourful animal masks, experiment with simple printmaking based on animal tracks and habitats, and make expressive artwork that builds creativity, fine-motor skills, and confidence.
Fee: $175 | $157.50 AGP Members: Tier 3 and up

Stop-Motion Animation
August 17 – 21, 2026
Full Day, Monday to Friday, 11:30 am to 4:30 pm
Suitable for Ages 7 to 11
Lights, camera, action! In this week-long, full day program, campers will explore visual storytelling through character development, set design, and hands-on animation and stop-motion techniques.
Working collaboratively, they will create original characters and settings, then bring their ideas to life in short, animated films.
The week wraps up with a celebratory screening of the finished projects at a camp movie premiere, complete with popcorn and refreshments.
Fee: $225 | $202.50 AGP Members: Tier 3 and up

My Summer Fun 1 July 14 – 18, 2025
Portraits and landscapes and sculptures, oh my! This week-long, half day program is great for children looking to explore their creativity. Campers will create funky portraits, nature-inspired artworks, and experiment with painting, mixed-media sculptures, and collages.
Make Your Mark July 21 – 25, 2025
Ready, set, print! Campers will learn and experiment with a variety of printmaking techniques to create their very own zines, stamps, and a portfolio of printed works in this week-long, half day program.
My Summer Fun 2 July 28 – August 1, 2025
Travel through time with the Art Gallery of Peterborough! Each day offers a new adventure in time, exploring different artistic techniques from the stone-age to the present. Campers will learn skills in weaving, pinch pot pottery, and co-operative art making in this week-long, half day program.
The Art of Storytelling August 5 – 8, 2025
Combine storytelling and art in this imaginative half-day camp. Inspired by our favorite books, fictional characters, and our own stories and imagination, campers will learn the art of storytelling and bring their own characters to life as we explore bookmaking, drawing, sculpture and painting techniques.
Totally Textiles August 11 – 15, 2025
Campers will explore different fabric arts, including sewing, dyeing, and weaving. They’ll create their own stuffed characters, colorful textile artworks, woven bookmarks, and wall hangings, and learn about the cultural significance of textiles along the way.
My Summer Fun 3 August 18 – 22, 2025
Imaginations will soar in this week-long, half-day camp where every day is a new art adventure. Campers will create colorful animal masks, experiment with printmaking, and make whimsical puppets and expressive self-portraits.
