Guided, hands-on activities for children and their caregivers
Art Together returns with an exciting new eight-week format! Designed for children ages 2-5 and their caregivers, this extended series gives families more time to become comfortable in the studio, build creative routines, and enjoy making art together. Through guided, tactile-rich activities, children will explore colours, textures, and simple art techniques alongside a parent, grandparent, or caregiver. This gentle, early-learning experience supports creativity, fine-motor development, curiosity, and connection in a welcoming space where we take care of the setup and cleanup.

Week 1: Clay Fairy Gnome Gardens October 18, 2026
Instructor: TBC
Explore the possibilities of clay as children and caregivers pinch, roll, and shape their own fairy gnome gardens. Using colourful modeling clay, we will create miniature worlds filled with imagination and creativity to explore world-building and storytelling.
Week 2: Monster Pumpkin Painting October 25, 2026
Instructor: TBC
Celebrate the season by transforming pumpkins into silly, spooky, or completely unexpected monsters! Children and caregivers will explore shapes and facial expressions while creating their own playful characters.
Week 3: Painted Portraits November 1, 2026
Instructor: TBC
Time to face off! Children and caregivers will look closely at faces, expressions, and special details as they create painted portraits inspired by the people they know and love.
Week 4: Yarn Weaving November 8, 2026
Instructor: TBC
Practice going over and under, over and under! Children and caregivers will explore basic weaving techniques, using yarn to make beautiful woven patterns. This activity supports concentration and hand-eye coordination.
Week 5: Rainbow Explosion November 15, 2026
Instructor: TBC
Everything rainbows this week! Explore colour, texture, and layering while creating vibrant mixed-media collages inspired by the magic of rainbows.
Week 6: Felt Storybooks November 22, 2026
Instructor: TBC
Create a special story together using felt pieces, drawings, and imagination. Children and caregivers will design characters and shapes to bring their stories to life through an interactive felt keepsake.
Week 7: Squishy Stamp Painting November 29, 2026
Instructor: TBC
Experiment with shapes and patterns by creating playful stamp prints using soft foam and everyday objects. Children and caregivers will discover the fun of repetition and creative mark-making while supporting early pattern recognition and fine-motor development.
Week 8: Peel & Reveal Winter Art December 6, 2026
Instructor: TBC
Create simple winter scenes using tape and cool-toned paints, then delight in peeling the tape away to reveal crisp shapes like trees, stars, and snowflakes. Children and caregivers will explore shapes, patterns, and creative discovery together through this magical peel-and-reveal process.
