March has finally arrived and we couldn’t be more ready for the first signs of spring. Check out what we’re up to at the gallery this month in our March Newsletter:


March Break Art Camp

March 10 – 14, 2025
suitable for ages 7 -11

Join us over March Break for a week-long camp exploring famous artists and their techniques! Learn about different artists each day and create artwork inspired by the artistic practices, styles, and techniques they made famous.

Campers will have the opportunity to explore our current exhibitions, including Dr. Roberta Bondar’s “Patterns & Parallels” to get inspired up in the studio where they will be led by our outstanding team of art educators and create their own masterpieces.

Education Programs


NEW: Art Start!

Suitable for ages 4-6

Saturday, March 29: Puppet Making
Make your own puppets to take home! Craft puppets using paper and fabric, inspiring imaginative play and storytelling skills for children.


Saturday Art Club

Suitable for ages 7-11

Saturday, March 22: Mosaics
Explore the art of mosaics using colorful tiles and materials. Design and assemble your own mosaic projects, enhancing fine motor skills and creativity.

Portfolio Development for Teens

Ages 11 – 14

Thursdays, April 24 – May 15
This new four-week course will help participants develop skills and techniques that boost their artistic skill and creativity. It is designed for students aged 11 to 14 who are looking to develop a portfolio of work for a secondary school art program, such as the T.A.S.S. Integrated Arts Program.

Learn directly from practicing artists in our community to create a standout portfolio!

Drop in to the Gallery Shop at the Art Gallery of Peterborough and explore the work of over 60 local and regional artists and makers. The Shop offers a diverse selection of one-of-a-kind works in ceramics, glass, jewellery, and more!
