Esther Simmonds-MacAdam
Esther Simmonds-MacAdam is a visual artist exploring codes of figurative display through massive charcoal wall drawing, reasonably sized oil painting, and tiny foil sculpture. She has created site-specific installations for Newark Penn Station and the Art Gallery of Ontario. Simmonds-MacAdam completed her Masters in Sociology and Equity Studies at the University of Toronto. She has twice been artist in residence at the Banff Centre (2012, 2013) and recently completed a three-month residency with the New York Art Residency & Studios Foundation (NARS) in New York City.
