About the Artist:

Katie Irwin is a painter from Peterborough Ontario. Born into a family of outdoor enthusiasts, Katie’s inspiration comes from an appreciation of Canadian nature. With a focus on bright complementary colours and loose figurative brush strokes, her paintings portray the natural world of Ontario, including farms, animals and tree landscapes. Irwin’s paintings often feature a striking red background which is visible through quick descriptive brush strokes. Her technical skills come from an education in both graphic design and animation. Katie’s dedication keeps her continuously learning and developing her style.
