About the Artist: 
Nancy Simmons Smith has been making art for over 30 years. Non-objective art is Nancy’s passion and has been an important focus her life. She works intuitively, burying,and unearthing marks, and textures to explore surface, shape, colour, texture, and composition.

Nancy is a member of the Women’s Art Association of Canada (Toronto) and Studio 201 in Peterborough. Her work is currently shown at Studio 5 (Peterborough) and The Stonewood Gallery (Cobourg).
