Sarah St Pierre

Sprawling colony of white flowers with large green leaves. Flowers in full bloom among ones that aren’t.

Anemone Fields, 2023, acrylic on canvas

About the Artist:

Sarah St Pierre works out of her home studio in Peterborough. Her love for the arts and creative problem solving led her to pursue a Bachelor of Technology in Industrial Design. After graduating, she worked as the studio assistant for Canadian artisan Lucya Almeida of The Tima Collection, designing and making copper jewelry sold across Canada.

Her work celebrates the fleeting moments in nature. Using rich colours and bold contrasts built up over many translucent layers of paint, Sarah explores themes that are connected to her personal journey of learning more about native species, and natural phenomena.

Sarah is an active member and organizer with the Peterborough Arts Collective (PAC) and a recent participant of “Love for the Boro.” Her work can be found on display at the Jason Wilkins Factory with other members of the PAC, at The Cheesy Fromage in Lakefield, and at cafes around Peterborough.
