About the artist:

Sheldon Storey is a queer multidisciplinary artist, working primarily in found material installation and assemblage. His practice applies found objects and a conceptual approach that he describes as “forever in a dance of ingredient and meaning.”

As a graduate of OCAD University, where he studied sculpture and installation, drawing, painting, and curatorial studies, Storey was awarded the Haydn Davies Memorial Award for their work. Sheldon’s work evokes themes of loss, deception, growth, nostalgia, and wonder. His work has been shown nationally and internationally within Canada, the United States, England, Germany, and Italy.

Sheldon has exhibited with the Ontario Science Centre, OCAD University, Art Spin Toronto, Art Gallery of Peterborough, Norwich University, Array Music, and Artscape Youngplace. He is also the recipient of numerous artist grants and awards.
