About the artist:

Sheldon Storey is a queer multidisciplinary artist working primarily in found material installations and assemblages. His practice applies a found object and conceptual approach that he describes as “forever in a dance of ingredient and meaning.”

A graduate of OCAD University, where he studied Sculpture and Installation, Drawing and Painting, and Curatorial Studies, Sheldon’s work evokes themes of loss, deception, growth, nostalgia, and wonder. His work has been shown nationally and internationally within Canada, the United States, England, Germany, and Italy.

Sheldon has exhibited with the Ontario Science Centre, OCAD University, Art Spin Toronto, Art Gallery of Peterborough, Norwich University, Array Music, and Artscape Youngplace. He is also the recipient of numerous artist grants and awards.
