About the artist:

Sheldon Storey is a queer multidisciplinary artist working primarily in found material installations and curatorial investigations. Storey’s practice applies a found object and conceptual approach that he describes as “forever in a dance of ingredient and meaning.”

A graduate of OCAD University, where studied Sculpture and Installation, Drawing and Painting, and Curatorial Studies, Storey’s work evokes themes of loss and bereavement, deception, growth, nostalgia, and wonder, evolving from moments of solidarity, reflection, and hindsight which enable subtle glimpses of wonder and discovery.

His work has been shown nationally and internationally within Canada, United States, England, Germany, and Italy. Exhibiting with The Ontario Science Centre, OCAD University, Art Spin Toronto, Art Gallery of Peterborough, Norwich University, Array Music, and Artscape Youngplace, as well as being the recipient of numerous artist grants and awards.
