Everything is Fleeting

Closing reception for summer exhibits
Saturday September 16, 2017 - 2pm to 5pm

In the wake of Canada 150 celebrations, Jeffrey Macklin uses the iconography of nationhood such as federal brand identity, currency, and colloquial stereotypes as a site to critique and problematize the dominant narrative of Canada. Macklin is of settler roots.

Jeffrey Macklin is a Peterborough, Ontario based artist, working primarily with relief printing (letterpress) and mixed media. He often employs words as visual triggers, as well as present-day/historical pop-culture icons and figures in both his print work and his mixed media pieces.

The gallery is open Wednesday to Sunday from 11 am - 5 pm. Admission is always free, however donations in support of AGP programming are always appreciated.
