This full-colour publication documents the exhibition Arthur Shilling: The Final Works (AGP: February 20 to May 22, 2016). Curated by William Kingfisher. Essays by Wanda Nanibush, Robert Houle, and William Kingfisher. Published in English and French; Anishinaabemowin edition to come.

Curator William Kingfisher focuses the exhibit on the period 1976–86 in which Shilling’s work became bolder. His skill using strong colours of red, brown, orange, green and turquoise, his combination of Western painting techniques with traditional Anishinaabe imagery, and his insistence on speaking his own voice, point to a unique artist whose work reveals the incredible richness of Indigenous culture.
