Improvements coming our way!

Our facility on Crescent Street has served us well but it has aged and needs some improvement in order for us to maintain our professional standards and better serve our community. The work planned for spring 2015 will help take us to the point of having a new facility as described in our feasibility study <link to this> and the upgrades being planned can be utilized in the new build.

Planned facility upgrades:

This spring 2015 we will be replacing our original boilers with a new state of the art HVAC system. This will allow us to maintain the environmental standards required by a collecting institution. The work will take approximately 3 months and will necessitate both the staff and permanent collection to move offsite for the duration.

Vault reorganization: Sometimes a challenge offers an opportunity. The need to empty the vault of artworks affords us a unique chance to reorganize and improve the storage of our Permanent Collection. Each work has been documented with a condition report, wrapped and made ready to be shipped. We are taking advantage of an empty vault to rethink the storage units and work area making better use of the space with new art storage systems now available.
