Winter Break at the Art Gallery of Peterborough

Explore your child’s creative side in this 3-day program. Learn painting, printmaking, and drawing techniques while taking inspiration from our current exhibitions.

How to register:

There are three easy options for registering your child for an AGP Program:

  • Click the “Register Now” button at the top of this page.
  • Call us at 705 743 9179 to register your child over the phone.
  • OR, register in person during your next visit to the Art Gallery of Peterborough.

All participants will need to complete and return the Health and Information Form prior to the beginning of the program. You can email your completed forms to the Education Programming Coordinator at the email listed below.

General Information:

  • Artist-instructors deliver programs with the assistance of gallery staff, post-secondary placement students, and volunteers.
  • Registration is capped at 12 students per class.
  • Pre-registration and full payment are required to secure your space in the program.
  • Supervision is provided 15 minutes prior to and following the program.
  • Dress for the weather: children should be prepared for the possibility to play and create outside.
  • Please provide a nut-free snack and a water bottle.
  • Unless otherwise specified, the Art Gallery of Peterborough reserves the right to photograph all programs for future promotional purposes.
  • In the event of insufficient registrations or emergencies, the AGP may have to cancel or substitute programs. A full refund or credit will be available in the case of cancellations (please see below for more details)
  • Eligible City of Peterborough families can also apply for a Recreation Fee Subsidy for Art Gallery of Peterborough children’s programs.

Online Registration Tips:

Here are some helpful tips when using the City of Peterborough’s online Registration system:

  • For the best registration experience, please use Chrome or Firefox. Using other browsers may produce unexpected results.
  • When registering for more than one program, you will have an opportunity to add other items to your cart on the Review step of registration. Click on the “Book another event” link to go back to our course listings and register for other programs prior to Checkout.

Refund Policy for programs:

Refund requests are accepted prior to camp start dates and are charged an administration levy of 10% of program fee or $10 minimum. Refunds are not provided once the program starts unless accompanied by a medical note approved by the program supervisor or Manager designate. Front line teams will refer the request to the program supervisor for approval and will take no action within the event roster or client account.

In the event of insufficient registrations or emergencies, the AGP may have to cancel or substitute programs. A full refund or credit will be available.

Transfers:

Pending availability, transfer requests made prior to the start of the program date, will be accepted and approved at no charge.

City of Peterborough Release, Waiver and Indemnity:

The Participant (or parent or guardian if Participant is under the age of 18) voluntarily assumes any risk of injury or damage in connection with the use of services and facilities, and releases, discharges, and agrees to indemnify and save harmless the City of Peterborough and its employees, agents, and volunteers from any liability, claim, demand, or cost whatsoever incurred arising out of the participation of the Participant in the Program at the facility.

Accommodations and Behaviour Expectations:

If your child requires assistance with participation (behavioural, cognitive, physical, etc.) an adult shall be provided by the family to support your child’s experience at camp. Contact the program supervisor to discuss your child’s needs. We encourage positive and cooperative play, ensuring all campers have a rewarding camp experience. Bullying is not tolerated, and campers are encouraged to behave appropriately while in the care of the program.

Photography Policy:

In the course of all program activities, we may take photos and audio and/or visual recordings. We reserve the right to use all photographs and videos of our programs, participants, special events and facilities for promotional purposes.

Regular Hours: Wednesday to Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. Admission is by Donation.
