Anne Hoover

Anne graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCADU), and studied at the Emily Carr College of Art and Design in Vancouver. “My focus has always been the human form, through both drawing and painting. My current practice explores the balance between accuracy and recognition; depicting the human form using free mark-making to distort that edge between abstraction and realism. Portraiture (and self-portraiture) is a passion – I believe it possible to capture both spirit and mood; a sense of person and human connection.”
