Private: Frances Timbers

About the artist:

From her minimalist studio in the garage of her Peterborough home, Frances Timbers fashions sterling silver jewellery from the delicate to the dramatic using traditional and modern chainmail techniques. She is a Master Weaver (Guild of Canadian Weavers) who participated in the Apsley Studio Tour and One-of-a-Kind shows in Toronto. After studying jewellery making at the Haliburton School of Fine Arts, Timbers turned her attention to weaving silver wire instead of silk thread.

Taking inspiration from travels around the world, exploring both outer and inner landscapes, Timbers’ bracelets, anklets, necklaces, and earrings are fashioned as timeless and wearable art for generations.
