Bay Reflections, 2019, watercolour on paper, 16″ x 20″

About the Artist:

A watercolourist for the past thirty years, Gregory Maude has refined his style of watercolour to the point that his muted shades of colour begin to blend together, forming interesting negative and positive shapes. In all of his paintings, Greg seeks to capture the subtle aspects of Ontario’s landscape.

Over the years, Greg has been a member of several Ontario art associations and his artistic adventures have included being a teaching instructor of watercolour to others through such venues as the Oshawa Art Association, Whitby Arts Inc., Newcastle Gift of Art Gallery, The Painted Tree in Cobourg and The Quick Brown Fox in Brighton. He has also been involved in art administration, including being a past president of the Robert McLaughlin Art Gallery in Oshawa.

Today, he resides in Brighton Ontario and currently serves as Vice President of the Brighton Visual Arts. His paintings hang in many public and private collections throughout Canada and the USA.
