About the artist:

Valerie graduated from Sheridan College, School of Crafts and Design in 1984. She is also part of the teaching team for Fleming College at the Haliburton School of Art and Design in the Jewellery Certificate Program.

“When making a piece of jewellery, my main concerns are quality, integrity and flow. I love clean lines, rich textures and contrast. My materials include sterling silver, gold, copper, brass and bronze and I often mix different metals in one piece. Shapes, patterns, connections and the many celebrations or tribulations in life that I am honoured to be asked to help commemorate with my work.” — Valerie Davison
