Youth Volunteer Program

High School, College and University Students: Are you interested in volunteering as part of our Art Education Team?

We have exciting volunteer opportunities for youth (aged 14 – 25) to join our Youth Volunteer Team.

If you are looking to explore working in education and the arts, then become a Youth Volunteer! You’ll gain leadership experience in a creative and fun environment, make new friends and some art, too. Most importantly, you’ll be supporting the arts and arts education in our community.

AGP Youth Volunteers will learn to work in a team and have an opportunity to support professional artists in a creative space, assisting with Children’s Art Programs.

We currently offer opportunities to volunteer in the following areas:

  • Education Programs (registration programs, as needed)
  • Birthday Parties (weekends, as needed)
  • Saturday Art Club (afternoon, last Saturday of each month)

All of our youth volunteer opportunities count toward High School community service hours. We also offer College and University Placement opportunities.

General Requirements:

In addition to submitting an application form, each prospective volunteer will be required to attend an interview as well as mandatory orientation and training with gallery staff prior to starting volunteer service. Any required training sessions are counted towards community service hours.

If you are 18 years of age, or older: Upon acceptance, each volunteer will be asked to provide a Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check. We will provide you a letter to help you obtain this record check.

To apply to become a Youth Volunteer, we ask that you fill out a Youth Volunteer Application
