About the Artist:

Since 2007 she has exhibited and sold her photographs in festivals and galleries in the Kawarthas, where she is based, and in Toronto, & Ottawa. A solo exhibition of Corin’s photographs was mounted at The Christensen Fine Art Gallery in Peterborough during the SPARK Photography Festival in 2018. She is a current participant in the Art Gallery of Peterborough’s Kawartha Autumn Studio Tour.  Her work has appeared in group shows at The Elaine Fleck Gallery in Toronto in 2015, 2018 and in 2020.

“Encouraging reflection on the beauty and sacredness of the natural world is central to my art. Time spent photographing nature and landscapes provides me with the raw materials, and the inspiration, for integrating multiple photographs into new artworks. I create geometric patterns and shapes and then inlay photographic textures, carefully considering colour, lighting, symmetry and composition.

Stone Meditation III references mandala-like shapes and spiritual symbols used in many different traditions over time. Such icons have acted as spiritual guides or aids for meditation. My artistic intention is to provide a conduit for connecting in a meaningful way with the exquisite world around us.” — Corin Ford Forrester
