About the artist:

Photographic artist Corin Ford Forrester studied photography at the Haliburton School of the Arts where she received the highest standing in the Photo Arts Program in 2007. She also has a degree in Microbiology from the University of Guelph.

Since 2007 she has exhibited and sold her photographs in festivals and galleries in the Kawarthas, where she is based, and in Toronto, & Ottawa. Her time as Artist In Residence in 2014 among the wild lakes and forests of Quetico Provincial Park, near Thunder Bay Ontario, provided great inspiration. A solo exhibition of Corin’s photographs was mounted at The Christensen Fine Art Gallery in Peterborough during the SPARK Photography Festival in 2018. She has also participated in the Kawartha Autumn Studio Tour in 2019 and has exhibited at The Elaine Fleck Gallery in Toronto in 2015, 2018 and in March 2020.

“Exploring beauty in the natural world is central to my photographic art. Exquisite patterns, colours, distortions and reflections are often found in seemingly mundane places. I immerse myself in the ephemeral play of light in and on water. The camera allows me to capture the wonder of those moments.” — Corin Ford Forrester
