About the artist:

“My goal is to capture the landscape and express my feelings and emotions through oil painting. Bold use of colour, loose rapidly executed brushstrokes, heightens the visual impact of each painting. The act of painting allows concentration on the content which enables me to extract from my daily life significant meanings that are translatable into paint. Landscapes in oil on canvas and wood panels, rendered in an impressionistic style using a mainly impasto technique. Painting on both white and toned surfaces. I am devoted to capturing the four seasons.” — Lucy Manley
